Cycle Root Bowl
A grounding porridge designed to support the body at its root. This bowl nourishes your womb, supports gentle elimination, and replenishes essential minerals with warmth and intention. Crafted for the menstrual phase, it invites stillness, comfort, and quiet strength as your cycle renews.
Ingredients (Serves 1):
Base
1/4 cup (40g) Cream of Buckwheat
1 cup (240g) almond or walnut milk
Pinch of sea salt
1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
After cooking
1/2 ripe banana, mashed
1/2 Tbsp ground flaxseed
1/2 Tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp tahini
Toppings
1 tsp pumpkin seeds, lightly crushed
1–2 tsp hemp seeds
Light dusting of cacao powder
Drizzle of honey
Directions:
In a small pot, bring the milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt to a gentle simmer.
Whisk in the Cream of Buckwheat, stirring continuously to prevent clumping.
Reduce heat to low and cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring until thick and creamy.
Remove from heat and stir in the mashed banana, flaxseed, chia seeds, and tahini.
Let sit for 3–5 minutes to allow the chia to soften and the bowl to thicken fully.
Top with pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, a gentle dusting of cacao, and a drizzle of honey.
